Peddie Welcomes New Faculty Members

There are a lot of new faces on campus this year. Get to know Peddie’s nine newest teachers.

Bob Amar
Mathematics
Amar is an award-winning math and music educator from Atlanta, known for his cross-disciplinary talents and engaging, student-first style.

Lilly Castro
Chemistry
With a background in environmental science and experience in summer programs, Castro brings a strong science foundation and student-centered approach to Peddie.

Gillian Davis, Ph.D. ‘00
Chemistry
Davis, a former Peddie technology department employee, returns to campus after a research career at Rutgers. Fun fact: Davis co-owns a martial arts school.

Amy Eberly
Signature Program
An experienced community programs leader, Eberly is known for bringing real-world learning opportunities and unmatched organization to everything she does.

Emmett Grosland
Visual Arts
After contributing to theater productions on both coasts (including at Peddie), Grosland returns to inspire through design and the arts.

Jeremy Irzyk
History
Pomfret’s former humanities coordinator also coached varsity baseball and was a dorm head. The former standout college athlete brings a wide-ranging skill set.

Chad Miller
Mathematics
Miller’s dry humor and calm demeanor come north from Florida, with years of indie school experience in tow.

Abigail Nickerson
Mathematics
After two summers teaching in Peddie’s Summer Day School, the Hightstown High and Vanderbilt grad returns to Peddie.

Maclain Woodbury
History
History teacher and multi-sport coach from Holderness, Woodbury joins Peddie with a can-do spirit and commitment to give everything to his students.
